About Cuba

Print this panel email to a friend

The essence of Cuba has been preserved to this day - the classic cars, the all night rumbas, the unspoilt beaches and the proud people.

Wholly original, Cuba feels like bottled lightning with it's volatile electricity. 'Almost completely cut off from the maw of McDonald's, Madonna and other global corporate-cultural influences, Cuba retains a refreshingly preserved quality.' Lonely Planet, Cuba

Mountain to Sea Charity Trek

Our trek takes the best Cuba has to offer.

We start in the dynamic colonial city of Havana, with its cobblestone streets and crumbling buildings.

From here we travel to the northern foothills of the Sierra Del Escambray Mountains, stopping off at Che Guevara's Mausoleum in Santa Clara on the way. Here the real trekking begins, and over the next few days we will weave our way through the local communities, along mule tracks and footpaths. The route leads us through the hills to the final day at Mirador, with views out over the Caribbean Sea.
